Elcometer MTG Ultrasonic Material Thickness Gauges

Elcometer MTG Ultrasonic Material Thickness Gauges is a measuring instrument for a wide range of applications with the features and functionality required for material thickness measurement. This meter’s auto-recognition feature ensures the correct probe is identified when the transducer is changed, and is ideal for measuring a large surface area with its scan mode at 16 Hz.

User-selectable reading resolution can be set to 0.1mm (0.01″) or 0.01mm (0.001″). In addition, the MTG has Pulse Eco (PE), Eco Eco ThruPaint™ and Velocity (VM) measurement modes, and Hi&Lo limit indicators to show problem areas. Some MTG devices are supplied as devices only and the converter must be ordered separately. Up to 100,000 readings can be stored in up to 1,000 sequential groups, while ensuring maximum accuracy thanks to the integrated zero disk. MTG is also user-friendly with its selectable 4.8.16Hz reading rate (4.8.16 readings per second).

MTG gauges have a number of calibration options, including the 1-Point calibration method. Users can also choose from 39 preset materials on the gauge or save up to three calibrations in memory.

Flexible and easy to use, the Elcometer MTG series can measure not only uncoated surfaces, but also coated surfaces. When using the Echo ThruPaint™ Mode (EE), overlays up to 2 mm (80 mil) are disregarded.

Compatible with both the ElcoMaster® PC and the ElcoMaster® Mobile App, the readings can be downloaded to PC, iOS or Android™ devices via USB or Bluetooth® for further analysis and reporting.

The Elcometer MTG series features a choice of display modes that allow the user to choose the one that best suits their needs: Readings, Selected Statistics, Bar Chart, Worksheet, B-Scan and Differential Mode.

With automatic transducer recognition which ensures correct probe identification even when the transducer is changed, a measurement rate of 4Hz (4 readings per second) and integral zero disc ensuring maximum accuracy of ±1%, the MTG2 is ideal for taking basic ultrasonic thickness measurements.
